We are excited to host the first Civil Maps Autonomous Vehicle Technology Demo Day at StartX in Palo Alto. This event, to be held on Friday, August 11th, will bring together industry professionals, students, and customers/partners to gain a stronger understanding of our technology suite, which is currently being used by major automakers around the world who are aggressively developing self-driving cars. At Civil Maps, we’re quite passionate about the automotive industry, our partners and their vision for full vehicular autonomy. With our forthcoming Demo Day, we are highly interested in bringing together a community of industry professionals with a common vision and goals.
Throughout the afternoon we will be offering live in-car demos along nearby streets in the area to invited customers, partners, and investors. We’ll also host an open “expo” in the StartX event space where industry pros, students, and other attendees can speak to Civil Maps’ product specialists. Attendees will have an intimate opportunity to learn and discuss our advanced technology suite, designed to provide Cognition for self-driving cars.
Below, we’ve provided links relating to the core technologies that Civil Maps develops:
- HD Semantic Maps
- Localization in 6 Degrees of Freedom (6DoF)
- Augmented Reality Maps
- Sensor Fusion
- Edge Mapping
In the afternoon, we’ll fire up the BBQ grill in the outdoor patio area and guests can enjoy food+drinks along with their discussions.
Civil Maps is thrilled for this gathering and honored to come back to StartX as an alumni company (S15). The Stanford-affiliated, non-profit accelerator and the Stanford-StartX Fund have been extremely supportive of our growth. Expect to hear more about our collaborations in the very near future. In 2015, our company had the privilege to join the prestigious accelerator program and since then, we’ve reached several major technical milestones. Civil Maps are more than excited to share details with everyone at our Demo Day on August 11th.
